The Olympic Peninsula

We left the Seattle area campground this morning and headed towards a campground near Olympic National Park.  After some discussion with my navigator (RoxAnne), we decided to take the shortest route.  However, the shortest route involved taking the camper on the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston.  The ferry ride was about 1/2 hour, compared to at least 3 hours taking the Interstate.  The whole area is still very smoky and there is limited visibility.  We should be able to see snow capped mountains from our campsite, but instead we can only see a faint outline of the closest mountain.  Our new campsite is so much better than our last one.  Lots of room at the campsite and the campground has a pool, a hot tub, a pool table, ping pong table, etc.

Parked on the ferry going to Kingston

Ready to leave the ferry

Our new campground site.  So much room and includes a picnic table, fire ring, chairs and a glider.

In Florida I'm used to seeing Hurricane Evacuation signs.  Close to the Pacific Ocean we are seeing Tsunami Evacuation signs.
