Quack, Quack

This was the last day that Katie and Corson would be with us.   Katie has to go back to work and Corson has to start school.  We tried to make today memorable by taking a 20 mile, 90 minute trip through the streets and Lake Union of Seattle through a "Ride the Duck" tour.  The DUKW (typically nicknamed ‘Ducks’) is an amphibious landing craft developed by the United States Army during World War II. Our tour guide was really funny and made the trip educational and fun.  Going from the road to the lake was quite an experience.  We had dinner at Anthony's Pier 66 on the Seattle waterfront.  We all had some excellent fish, then hung out at the waterfront to watch the sunset.  As the sun was setting we started heading to the airport to drop off Katie and Corson.  They had a 11:18 pm flight back to Pittsburgh.  We miss them already.
