We are now at a campground in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is our first time ever in Arkansas. The city is located in the Ouachita Mountains and is set among several natural hot springs for which the city is named. Just south of the city are Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine which are two reservoirs of the Ouachita River. The lakes were created for hydroelectric power generation and recreational uses. The city is also proud that it is the hometown of President Bill Clinton. We drove for about 7 straight hours to get to the campground. It is a pretty nice campground and our site is also very nice. The first thing we did once we set up the camper was to turn on the air conditioner. Most of the day the temperature fluctuated between 89 to 91 degrees. Very hot and humid.
